Kalamata is a famous Greek cultivar with deep purple flesh and a fruity flavour with slight bitterness. Kalamata olives are harvested only when they turn black and fully ripe. With this easy-to-open tin you can enjoy Babylonstoren olives anywhere and without fuss. Simply pop one into your handbag or picnic basket. Or serve straight from the sleek tin as part of a platter. All olives are grown on the farm and harvested between March and June. Babylonstoren Farm has more than 60 hectares of olive groves. The deep sandstone soil and the Mediterranean climate provide ideal conditions for cultivating olives.
