Collection: Ma Mere

Over the past 9 years, Ma Mere Confections has grown from a single trestle table and a staff contingent of 1 into a fully fledged factory operation providing employment to 18 happy, hard working confectioners (and confectioners in training).

All Ma Mere products are made in the traditional way, in a slow and precise manner, for an authentic tasting product. Wherever possible they use locally produced ingredients from local suppliers who have ethical and sustainable business practices; one of their business philosophies being to support other small entrepreneurs.
 
The processes they use in making their sweets are not dissimilar to those their mothers’ used, they think this is why people love their sweets so much. (We tend to agree!) Naturally their treats are all delicious and generally gobbled down all in one go but they also contain an element of nostalgia that really sweetens the old heart strings.   
Ma Mere's goal is to produce high quality artisan sweets with unusual or exotic flavours with a core focus on nougat, brittle & Turkish Delight.
